As we are approaching Frankapalooza season, the time for the biggest and best annual outdoor concert and party in the Barkway-Lewisham area of Muskoka, I’m sharing another batch of photos from the 2017 event. Photographing concerts at night can be a challenge but I was pleased with how this set of photos turned out. I like the effect of the fireworks and smoke in the sky above the stage, catching lens flares with stage lighting, and the silhouettes of band members. It all worked out well even though I hadn’t used my gear which is better suited for night photography. I left that gear behind due to its weight but if I were to shoot this event again I’d bring it along!
These photos are a continuation of the Frankapalooza outdoor concert and party photos shared last August. There are still more photos to come so I will add those collections to future posts.
