Merry Christmas Huntsville Otters!
I painted this artwork years ago to use as our Christmas card one season and thought the art was perfect to turn into a new card specially for the Huntsville Otters. The boys in the painting are wearing old-school hockey league jackets but the colours are like those used by the Otters. The idea of the players turned into a dogsled team to get to the rink seems whimsical but on that snowy weekend of the Duke Knox tournament this really might have been the best way for teams to travel! 🙂
I was hoping to hand this card out in printed form to each family at the last home game before Christmas. I couldn’t make it to the rink that night so I’ll have to send you your Christmas card this way. It has been a lot of fun watching and photographing the Huntsville Otters Aquadome novice rep team and I look forward to visiting more games. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Otters! I hope you all have a great holiday and continue to have fun and success on the ice in the new year.
