Huntsville Otters 2018 Duke Knox Hockey Tournament Photos
This post, with 69 photos this time, completes the photographs taken during the Huntsville Otters – Listowel Cyclones hockey game. It looks like about the same number of photos could be coming for the next game you played against the Kawartha Coyotes.
I pulled a few from the gallery to assemble a sequence showing Warren’s goal. I just happened to have the camera on him from the time the play started through to completion.
I’m not sure if this column layout will work for people viewing on a small screen display like a phone, but here goes. In this part of the sequence Warren picks up the puck and circles back toward the Cyclone’s net.
He shoots, he scores! It’s a bit hard to see in the first wide shot but in the middle of the net, behind Cyclones player #5, you can see the puck still in the air about to hit the mesh.
The celebration!
I like the above shot for the position everyone is in (or not in depending on how you see it). Like almost everyone else, I too thought I was in the right spot at the right time to catch something great here. Now that I see the photo I can imagine what is going on in the minds of each of these hockey players…
Goalie playing rather wide to his glove side: “I’m ready, I got this, no problem”
Otter in front of wide open net: “I’m ready, I got this, no problem”
Cyclones #11 frantically trying to get back to cover that hungry Otter: “Halp! I’m not ready! I don’t got this! I see a problem!”
Turns out the puck bounced the other way and cleared the zone so none of us got the chance to capitalize on our perfect or not so perfect positioning.
I want to give a quick thanks to Tania and Dezarae for your kind reviews on the Reviews and Testimonials Page! Your input really does help in so many ways. An important one is how it helps people ever find my site in the first place. Search engines look at many things to determine whether a site is worth including in its results page, and these days things like reviews and testimonials are one of the details they look for. Those reviews will help the site become more discoverable in searches so that people looking for a sports, events or candid child portrait photographer in Muskoka might actually find me. Thank you!
Here is today’s Daily Dose of Otters. Photos from your next hockey game against the Kawartha Coyotes will begin in part 4.
The thumbnail grid below repeats all the same photographs seen in the gallery section on the page, and is included here for those needing an alternate way to download and save their photos.
