Otters Win!
Wow what a dramatic game!
I wanted to do a quick post to make the big announcement about the win today. Next I will go through all the action shots from the weekend (update: click here for the action shots). There will be a good collection of photos for the Otters as well as collections created for the Newmarket Redmen, Mississippi Thunder Kings and the Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds.
Otters Families, I made the photos on this page non-watermarked and slightly larger for you than in my usual posts (and even larger versions are available if needed). Please feel free to download and share anything you like.

It’s overtime in the championship game, Avery is crossing the Temiskaming blue line with the puck and every spectator in the arena is on the edge of their seat. Here it comes!…
Boom! In the net! And kablooie to the photo-bomber too. Wasn’t it helpful that I added an arrow to point him out in case you hadn’t noticed where he was.
It was a great moment for the Otters but my heart goes out the Temiskaming goalie. He looked little in the net but boy could he stop pucks! From all the way at the other end of the ice I kept hearing the thump of the puck hitting his pads. The Otters sharp-shooters must have wondered what they were up against!
Don’t feel bad about this one little goalie, you stopped almost everything and kept your team in the game, and after all, the one that got by came from one of Muskoka’s finest players! I was truly impressed with your goal tending and will do a special post here for you soon!
And here he is, one of Muskoka’s finest and happiest players too, Avery Shirtliff!
And with that it was raining sticks and gloves!
Hats off to the Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds for the great play and exciting game!
Congratulations Otters!
…come back soon to see the action shots from the tournament! (update: action shots are now online in this post )
